Ok, I have a serious question and am requesting a response. I assume, I know it's a stretch, but I assume that out of the raiding guilds, there are at least a handful of well adjusted, adult, wife having, kid having, job having, fully grown, non-autistic out there. If this applies to you, WHY do you put up with this shit. There's a plethora of other emus plus a live server to play the same content. Serious responses only please.

i evolved into a warm body.

After getting married and having a child, EQ took a backseat for me.
Having been in Taken/Awakened for over 5 years though, I still like to be involved with guild-related activities.
I have no impact on the raid scene anymore, and I don't have the capacity to get involved with the FTE/racing activities. So all I do is go with the flow.
I turn up, cast my CHs, pull/train when i'm confident in doing so, DPS when i can, buff when i can, then return to my family.

it's not really much to put up with, and i still play more "non-raid" eq than "raid" eq, so all of this RNF drama is only a small part of the game for me.

Being called a warm body within the context of this raiding scene is a compliment, as much as people try to fling it around as an insult.

If i were GM this is what i would do:

Week 1. Aftermath
Week 2. FFA- sock your little hearts out
Week 3. Awakened
Week 4. FFA- Awakened/Aftermath can't compete so other guilds get a chance.

It does but it also creates more complications. People who are entitled feel that it's bullshit because they are "better" than everyone else. People are waiting 2 years to receive that piece of Vulak loot. People will be bottlenecked on Doze and all types of issues. There are typically only two fixes. Instance everything and give everyone a shot or Remove CSR and let the wolves fight it out.

Or people start getting along and instead of 7 guilds that turns into 4 through merges (See guilds already raiding together under different tags). Vyemm is never going to be an easy out for guilds. Even established raid guilds still wipe to him and without a merge a few guilds are never going to get past that mob.

Instancing isn't needed when you create a system everyone can work with. As for folks who feel they deserve more. They have had free reign over that for over a year and a half now. They had their head start to collect all the shiny things. Competition has had it's time in the sun on this server.

The only way the raid scene can be fixed is with another two or three blue servers. Make one of them a rotation server, one of them a rule-lawyer server and one of them a DPS race server. Throw in a token/instance server for good measure.

Can you imagine what a disaster Live would have been if there was only a single server?
