Well I think the irony now is that both parties are simultaneously conservative and leftist. Both exist in the authoritarian upper right quadrant to some degree.

Both need to come back towards the middle socially and to the left middle fiscally. We waste too much money on trying to police dumb social (at home and globally) issues while corporations grift billions that go to overseas investments.

We still would see a return on teaching/helping people eat more healthily and defend themselves from abuse and exploitation.
