That seems like a pretty high number to me to be true. But maybe this CRT stuff is a lot more prevalent in schools than I thought.

From articles about it, it seems to be inclusions of common core, which is a type of math many parents hate because it’s hard to learn but supposedly faster for computations once you get the hang of it. I don’t see what it has to do with CRT, but it sounds like DeSantis has scrapped it as a teaching concept
From CNN:
“The department said some of the rejected textbooks incorporated Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and references to critical race theory -- two frameworks or philosophies that some conservative groups claim are being used to indoctrinate students.
Some schools around the country have recently used SEL strategies to help students cope with stress and the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic”
I’ve had multiple co-workers who did their graduate internship assisting with doing a social emotional learning workshop for kids at a school. It was originally intended to be a voluntary-only after school group that discussed managing stresses related to school, such as peer issues and academics
Unfortunately the rare occurrences where a group facilitator encouraged gender confusion in a child ruined trust with some parents about the group. Now the entire group has a bad stigma, and it’s part of the reason for the anti-grooming legislation. Actions of the few ruining it for the many
Counseling about gender (such as affirmation) should be done formally by someone licensed by the state to practice anyway, not a graduate student or a teacher with an education degree. Of course many conservatives feel it shouldn’t be done at all
And why social emotional learning is worked into math curriculum is beyond me
