Eventually we'll let go of the idea of invasive species. There will come a time where if it's alive and thriving (and hopefully edible), then god bless it.

why do you reject the idea that the scientific establishment might have bias to ignore studies that discredit studies they find a lot of confirmation bias in?

Im serious, the data to determine this stuff does not go back far enough to take into account any other arguments than the very small sample size extrapolates 80% of its data from.
I don't think that this constitutes disproving climate change, even if the causes aren't fully understood, we're measuring effects. And I don't think assuming they are biased in favor of disaster is reasonable. Shouldn't we be cautious? Shouldn't we use resources more efficiently?

The solar cycle could cause periods of warming, sure, sounds plausible enough on the surface. But that doesn't mean calamities aren't coming. That doesn't mean we should continue destroying the Earth's capacity to host human life.

We're living through a mass extinction right now, regardless of the causes, we should not be doing nothing

Im down with having a clean environment sure, but I am not down with a global WEF carbon dollar where the ultra rich get to have sex dungeon neon signs running 24/7 while we out in the real world have to log off EQ 2 hours a night to reduce our footprint.

That's all this hyperbole from the reactionary scientific community who are no different than you or me comes from.

It's taken the passion good people have for a clean and balanced life, and used it to empower a new world order. Just like the left behind series said would happen.

My argument is it's all hyperbole and that we cant determine what's going on right now so setting up a vast network that favors the wealthiest few is not a good cause to support.

It's just looking more and more like the solar cycle has more of an effect on climate than we understood 20 years ago, and this science is often rejected on principal, not science.
We've had ice ages and warming periods for eons now. The Middle Ages experienced a warming and receding of glaciers, and what's called the Little Ice Age.

Difference is now we are pouring contanimants and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere which is causing it's own problem on top of natural climate changes.

I'm less concerned with whatever I have to do to reduce my wasteful lifestyle, which I will generally do because that's not a bad idea. Fly less. Eat less meat, or none at all. Less monoculture, more public transport. All of the standard issue projects that the forces of capital have largely opposed for decades. These things are all minor changes in the grand scheme, I can personally adapt

I am more concerned with the millions who might end up dead because we in the west like to have cheap ranch dressing, cheap shirts at Old Navy or whatever else the hell all of those outsourced workers in factories build to keep our goods artificially cheap. Or disastrous waste in other parts of the world that have no EPA equivalent. Or yet another war for oil or rare earth metals or fresh water

I think that's what is going to be bad. I feel guilty for just being an American, no matter how much I personally change, the companies and governments all around me cause far more death and destruction than I can hope to possibly prevent by changing my habits
