no but calling them Mexican rapist criminals is.

being anti-immigrant makes you a bad person who *likely* is a racist and at the very least is a xenophobe.
LOL See?

According to the doc I watched a couple of weeks ago there are something like 18,000 criminal illegal aliens in custody awaiting deportation. There's exactly nothing racist or xenophobic about doing what every other industrialized country on the planet does, including the ones with the most liberal immigration and asylum policies...Having a secure border and scrutinizing who enters and why. If you are a violent felon here and flee to Canada, guess what? They will incarcerate you and deport you back. As will Mexico. After they extort money from you. Are they all racist xenophobic bad people?

This constant mantra is a joke, at this point.

For the record, I'm all for LEGAL immigration. Like what's enforced in every other country on the planet.

That's the issue. Not gay marriage, not which bathroom Bruce/Caitlynn Jenner can use. The issue is that this country is being run like a business to the disadvantage of 90% of its people.

Will Trump fix that? Probably not. But if he got elected, I can't imagine a bigger middle finger being thrown up at the political class. And like I said before, I don't necessarily agree with him on everything. I especially don't like how he acts like a little bitch any time someone dares to disagree with him. That said, Clinton, Cruz, Bush..... it would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

Excellent post.

There's a difference between being "pro business" and being a businessman. The former is just code for being available to get paid off by big business and unions. The latter is what Trump is. Like him or not, he's the real deal. He's even lost his ass and worked his way back up. He knows what those actually in business need and don't from the government. Most politicians are fucking lawyers. Their entire modus operandi is to play at business extracting as much as they can from it while not getting called on it.

Not a fan, myself, but to see him run a CBA on the entire federal apparatus and cut the dead wood would be right up his alley. As a libertarian with really no candidate, to watch him say "you're fired" to 50,000 ass leech government employees every couple months and be an asshole about it would be worth the price of admission.

It would certainly make politics fun again.

There's a huge difference between running a business and trying to run an economy. He's no more qualified to do so than you are. What has he said specifically that he'll do that is more than a vaguery? What's the process he'll use to "cut the dead wood"? Can he just arbitrarily fire 50,000 people without another branch of government assisting him or pushing back against him?

Trump's been able to shield himself personally when his businesses have failed via bankruptcy. Not sure you can go that route when you're President.

It's fun to talk about, but there's a barely-above zero chance it gets beyond the talking stage.

A lot of people said the same thing about Obama. And it was true then, also. Yet...

Trump is all talk, of course. But so was Obama. In fact, in actual real world experience, Trump's credibility is far beyond the current president before he took office. As of the 08 election anything is fucking possible.

As I said, I'd bet money the nomination goes to yet another Bush. But it's fun to speculate. Hence, the point of this thread on a gaming forum. Lol

Oh, and despite the wishful thinking of some, the president doesn't "run the economy."
