Like I said try calling it down the middle and seeing the expert rule lawyer neckbeards run off all the pleasant people that are capable of clearing content just not at log in and immediately engage speed. It's hard not to step in and protect the community from itself, then get proved of "favoritism" and fucked/trashed for it. Do you have any idea how much more toxic and devious the blue raid community is? Just one "semi casual" rule lawyering guild on blue is worse than the entire red community combined. There is no end to the sickness, attacking, disgusting personal remarks. I once logged into Knix's druid and someone wished death in tells in a VERY direct and personal way. The worst I saw happen to Knix on red was a bind camp and being called a noob/tard by some elite gang. Most of you probably don't care about all the times he did take your side and keep Rogean from torching you all, Sirken was a community champion.

Keep Sirken here, bring him back but do something else with the raid scene and give him a break from it maybe permanently. What more of a wake up call do you need?

OH.... hm... I'll just get rid of Sirken instead of admit my stupid raid rules are a huge problem/turn off and only increase # of neckbearded hours tracking etc.

To think, most people enjoy this service for free, Devs/GMs do this for free, and it's for the most part a great experience for those who like classic EQ. Level 54+ can get tedious with all the epic timesinks and level timesinks and scarce content for lots of high level players, so I think tensions run highest in this spectrum of players. But the scope of the complaining over the past decade really doesn't match the level of "slight" that players are getting from "favoritism" played by GM's, even if some of the worst of the charges are true.

If I had been in Sirken's position, I would probably resort to trolling the fuck out of everyone after 15 minutes being logged in as a GM.

If the rumors are true (NOT SPECULATING), he was textbook corrupt -- the very definition.

You wish players were held to the same standard? They don't have the ability to perform corrupt actions that the staff does.

What about the players that were banned for simply talking about staff favoritism/corruption?

See the pattern. GMs/Staff ARE held to a higher standard because they are Staff. It is like any organization with people in "charge" and holding the reigns of responsibility.

Even ONE mistake is more than enough to be shown the door. I have done enough criminal investigations to know that all we know so far is what this incident has been presented. There is almost always more incidents that we do not know about. People that break rules/laws get caught because they do it over and over. The logic is that "if i did it before and got away with it, if i just do it the same way again then i wont get caught." But sooner or later people that break the rules will get caught and just like the history of p99 has shown each of them have.

If what is being circulated is true, and is the actual reason Sirken was removed from power, then he did not just make a "few mistakes".

He outright, blatantly, broke rules. Defending that is insane.

Oh no they did, the fact these goofy rules were even made should speak volumes

He was charged with holding up all kinds of subjective BS to try in his best way to make this a stable community, whatever he was doing, I am sure was in the interest of the raid scene even if it was biased
