the disconected msg you are getting is either an anti-virus or firewall one or the other is casuing that. I was having the exact same problem.

Ill try and find a workaround for that.

I am stuck at the login screen. "Establishing connection with login server". I have my firewall turned off.

I am running win xp sp3.

EDIT: It works after I turned off peerblock.

WELL I ran it in compatibility mode for windows 7, instead of windows xp service pack 3, and i at least got to see it load with EQ music, then it crashed 2 seconds later.

After everything, firewall, anti virus, clean install, click fix, followed install steps in order, etc etc yada yada ran in compatability mode for windows 7, xp SP 3, vista, changed resolutions, tried 16bit.

Nothing works.

Turned off windows firewall, have no AV on my notebook cus I replaced the harddrive a while ago after it had been fried for months, so it's a pretty clean XP install. Forwarded all ports in eqhost.txt. Still getting disconnected.

I am also seeing 4 servers (2 up, 2 down) and get sent back to server select screen telling me i may need to rerun the update patch. tried everything and did everything in order.

I am using windows 7

Strange these errors are just popping up now, maybe the server is just throwing a bit of a hissy fit. I'll try again tomorrow. (also note the two down servers are higher up on the population rank then the two up servers)
