Good test, hopefully this will put the "im rooted too much!" stuff to rest.

If 1k double backstabbing rogues and chain procing unresistable T-staff Monks want to be more immune to CC then 94% immunity with easy to get MR well..... I dunno what to say.

EQ is fun (in all aspects of the game) because of the element of suprise and risk and chance. Nothing in EQ should be 100%. That what wow is for.

So I have to wear all that to get 94% resist rate? dayum I pity the monks not able to get 80% of these items. I feel like its quite ridiculous that I have to wear 10 pieces of decently hard to get gear to achieve those results. This means my strenght/other resists are crap just to be able to resist the CC spam.

If you're available, lets try this with you casting root and snare on a player 7-8 levels higher than you!


I'd like to reiterate how dumb this is, lets say a necro lands a 1min root on me. He has a pet -- I'm a sitting duck for 1 minute unless I waste a pillage wand on myself or miraculously I'm able to dodge a pet's attack for 3 second and get a pumice off.

Theres no wonder theres barely any melees on this server. Its not fun.

Stop making root/snare spells an issue past 70 magic resist.

You should NEVER... EVER become immune to anything. 6% is hardly a big number.

Its PvP you sacrifice DPS for survivability. Its EQ, you ALWAYS have a chance to get ganked/rooted/snared/etc.

Stop bitching about wanting to be un-rootable. Making 70 MR to 'immune point' means that you can STILL stack massive damage and become unkillable.

You people just want to poopsuck PvP (Yes, poop SUCK) with only sacrificing very little offense.

Leave the resists. You should always have a chance of being rooted. 6% with 100+ MR is exactly what it should be.

You realize people enjoyed PvP and were fine with it in a classic system. You realize item loot can work on a server? You realize that its retarded to wear literally max MR gear in every slot and have a chance to get rooted for full duration? You realize a melee assist train on a rooted person means they are highly unlikely to dispel it?

I'm just going to lump, oh maybe this entire server except for someone I hated for a long time in the "we like single pulling with invis / broken necro heal mechanics / charmed Sirran in sky" crowd. What a joke. All shit like this does is make it an ez-to-play-WoW game that disgraces classic Everquest.

So I have to wear all that to get 94% resist rate? dayum I pity the monks not able to get 80% of these items. I feel like its quite ridiculous that I have to wear 10 pieces of decently hard to get gear to achieve those results. This means my strenght/other resists are crap just to be able to resist the CC spam.

If you're available, lets try this with you casting root and snare on a player 7-8 levels higher than you!


I'd like to reiterate how dumb this is, lets say a necro lands a 1min root on me. He has a pet -- I'm a sitting duck for 1 minute unless I waste a pillage wand on myself or miraculously I'm able to dodge a pet's attack for 3 second and get a pumice off.

Theres no wonder theres barely any melees on this server. Its not fun.

Seriously, this is not a PvP server, this is a server for people who don't, and have not ever understood PvP.

Imagine, a PvP server where you need to wear resist gear, instead of your PvE gear - outlandish.

Not sure if serious or dumb, it's always a 50/50 with Nizzar.

Plat Jacinth Rings (3-4k/pair) - 26 MR
Wolfs Eye Golden Bracer (100p/pair) - 14 MR
Wolfs Eye Platinum Necklace (150p) - 9 MR
Sarnak Emblazoned Tabard (200p) - 10 MR
Earring of Essence (3k) - 10 MR
Pearlescent Mask (5 rot every 3 hours in Kedge) - 10 MR
Celestial Fists (every monk 55+ has) - 10 MR
Thex Mallet (2 hour quest at level 20) - 5 MR

+94 MR, less than 10k in resist gear and an epic which can be done with less than two groups, to reach 95% unrootable status in pvp against and equal level character.

I know that 3.0 click pumice is really hard to figure out.. nevermind the typing. Go fuck yourself, you're bad.

On the other hand, IF you dont get rooted...

You can kill anyone and everyone in the entire game.

So think of it as a 94% chance to defeated any and every opponent on the server. (well at least 100 percent of every caster, I dunno how monks match up against other meeles, specificaly the other non casting ones like warriors/rogues).
