Hit up Slide Rock, Sedona on way back from Flagstaff

Talking to this 18yr old who last year laid her arms open so bad she needed emergency surgery, the new record for worst ever wrist cut as a minor (previous was a dude who needed staples, every other kid does almost no damage)

And there’s some hope there it seems. Tying to instill it. Coming up with this plan involving her goals to be independent, formal supports like counseling, etc. She seems on board

As I’m wrapping up, casually ask “whats your plan for the rest of today?”. She replies with “you don’t want to know”. Then I ask “You saying that has me worried, are you saying your plan is to try to hurt yourself”. Her reply “yes I plan to kill myself today”

I just wanted to grab the plan I had written out and pile it into my mouth and slowly chew it up in front of her…

Anyway, she ended up in a BH hospital

My wife works in pediatrics and all she talks about is how many more girls have eating disorders now. I guess it’s social media that has everyone messed up. Sad

I gave blood this week. I used to donate regularly but stopped going when they said you couldn't just walk in and had to make an appointment (first world problems).

Someone at work left this humongous bowl of brownies which was just open exposed to air and going to go bad

So I took a grip of them home. Brownies are my biggest food weakness in life…

Free break room food is too good to pass up. I once ate an entire box of hard taco shells with banana peppers rings strictly due to principle. Never got no brownies tho =/
