Yes the quest was added later, yes the only way to obtain this in classic was to camp the Shin lord OR buy one. Shortly into Kunark I believe it was changed to No Drop (Including the dropped version from lord) because of its use in the epic 1.0.

So this should stay tradeable until Kunark is released I imagine.

Maybe my mind is foggy too, but I thought the Ghoulbane quest wasn't put in until near the SoV release. A good portion of Kunark went passed before I remember those items started dropping. Or so I think.

Nice weapon! Wish I raided Hate a lot so I could get one...even if I had one though, I would still use Ghoulbane when fighting the undead, which as a paladin, I do quite frequently.

I played a paladin. Ghoulbane was droppable from prekunark-velious; not sure what you guys are smoking. The quest and no-drop sword were from Luclin.

Aldryn, Blade of the Ocean is probably the best oldschool 1hs imo. (It's sky-quested and no-drop though).

Well, Erudites can't use the BFG [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.], or Kerran Fishing pole, or Qeynos Shield. Off the top of my head.

But they can use the Shield of Stalwart Seas which is one HECK of a shield.
