i think i should also mention that the exp penalty monks suffer hurts during hell levels. If you are a power-gamer it does not matter, but you'll feel the penalty you pay for a monk, and love the bonus you get as a rogue.
Ah yeah. The good ol' xp penalty. 35 was the worst for me. 40 and 45 I was able to solo gnomes in Sol A while waiting to get a group. That made the level much easier to deal with.

Rogue: "Monks are too close to rogue damage for the utility they bring."
Monk: "Warriors do too much damage for having so much mitigation."
Warrior: "Paladins have too much dps against undead for having all their utility and tanking ability at the same time."
Paladin: "SKs tank just as well as we do but can split, snare, and add a lot of damage through spells"
SKs: "lol rangers"
Mage: "Druids have comparable nukes and damage shield and have all their other buffs and heals! Unfair!"
Druid: "We heal less, slower, and more inefficiently than clerics without getting rez, and the rest of our spells are useless considering I can't kite a single griff without running over five rangers, most of which are alive!"
Enchanter: "Bards have everything we have that's worthwhile, can use it while running, and don't have to suffer half the population wanting us to buff from outside their group."
Bards: "Why12aren't23our31instrum12ents 23workin 31g?"

That's all I remember at the moment.

I was under the impression that at the moment, monks and warriors had extremely similar mitigation, and monks actually had superior avoidance. You'll never hear me bitch concerning monks and warriors, and their respective dps to tanking abilities.

Right now...hell no. When they start adding a bunch of very high AC gear in velious that is ALL/ALL, then yes, monks get pretty OP at tanking certain things.
