Hell I would think a Cellphone would have more power today than the PC we had in 1999 running EQ. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

In terms of simple calculations per second, my 2 year old now ancient galaxy s2 is most likely a couple hundred times faster than my pc from 99

Surface Pro is possibly the best $1000 EQ machine I have ever bought. I was playing EQ in one of my college classes.. great investment for boring lectures.

I will see about getting pictures of it playing EQ.

If you are experiencing problems playing EQ on a Windows 8 PC / Surface please PM me with what error you are seeing and what the conditions are where you are experiencing a crash. I can get the information to the right people and roll out a fix if it is a broad impact bug.

Cheers,

August

I am running EQ on Windows 8 with no issues on a desktop PC. I did have to full around with allowing it to run as Admin and set compatibility to XP service pack 3 though.

There were issues prior to doing those things. I would crash zoning sometimes and almost always crash when I logged out as well. All those troubles are no more however.
