The resist system could use some tweaks, but I think you guys blow things way out of proportion. Since getting 52+, I've found that root and snare are not worth casting in 1v1 pvp at all because they don't land and my time would be better spent casting dots or nukes. I don't remember if dot damage was reduced in pvp or not on live, but either way they seem decently effective here. Nukes could use some tweaking, but it's not like it's impossible to get a kill on a wizard. Mage pet root could definitely use some tweaking.
Sorry, I'm really tired now and can't seem to sleep. These threads get really old, though, and I think by now the devs understand your sentiments. We seem to be waiting on Rogean and maybe a couple others (Null?) to address our concerns, and I don't think continuing to complain at them is doing much to expedite the process.

And btw ducking to prevent spellcasting wasn't in at this point on live. It's an error that bluebies get to kill spells with duck pre-Velious. In this regard red is more classic than blue.

Resist code is big #2 for why the server failed and currently sucks. In mass pvp it means a bunch of no geared casters can drop max geared characters very easily with very little coordination, since all nukes land for full. It means when there's a mage around people just run instead of fighting because lure root pet is most likely death. Necros lifetaps and dots are underpowered as fuck because nukes are blown out of proportion and suck because of this when they were very dominant on live.
We struggled through low levels - thinking Null scaled shit way back to account for knowledge of the game/make certain classes viable - I even think he said something completely dumb like "Bards shouldn't be unkillable". hinting that this shit was by design and infact he's a fucking retard. But ultimately most people quit due to this - on Live, you would get 70+ MR with basic items like BS mantle, jewlery bracers, black iron crown etc etc and be viable and ready to go for pvp. Here I am max gear and I still worry about venturing far from zone lines (just like every other melee) and it creates this boring stagnant zone line defending gay ass pvp. Resists touchy for me could go on for awhile but I'll just cut this rant here and not proof read. | ||

Making Tuyen's fire and cold not land for shit and worse yet hit it with the 33% reduction lmfao like they were real dot's. Bard's were unkillable on live due to selo's breaking root and snare everytime it ticked, ya didn't have to nerf the class to the fucking ground when there dmg is already the worst. If they got that buthurt/raped by the gimpest pvp class pre planes of power they should have just removed it. not made them totally un pvpable unless you consider chaining highsun only during the day pvp. | ||
