Spells: Alliance resists and agro again. - Page 2

I'm a level 8 enchanter doing stein quest and I'm almost through the fish part... does this mean I should wait until I see something about Alliance in patch notes before I continue?

He got his stein the 3'rd time without casting alliance.

When your friend got the Stein on the third time without Alliance does that mean you just turned it in like normal and it works fine?

So far everytime I use alliance it resist. I did go back into Oggok to get my corpse and had a Charisma buff from my wife bringing my charisma to 133. I was then indifferent to the NPCs so maybe that's a way to get around the issue for now.

If being indifferent for the quest is sufficient, then wouldn't invis work just as well?

Has anyone done the quest recently without Alliance for the last couple turn ins?

Edit: I risked it! I was a Dark Elf and I had enough CHA I guess where he was indifferent... I turned it in and it worked. But ya, back on topic, the spell should probably be fixed anyway! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Just wanted to report that this is still a problem. I was working on mask quest and was unable to cast benevolence on the temple of ro turnin guys without resists and dieing.

I tried using this on the red server on Thusrday (8/15) and was promptly beat down. Looks like it is still broken.

I just tried Alliance on Sultin in Temple of Sol Ro for the Rod of Insidious Glamour quest and it got resisted and I got my butt handed to me by all three NPC's in the room LOL.

Alliance is still bugged. Cast on an npc to get better prices, and got owned. No exp rez on dead99. Fix this for my poor little chanter's sake.

Just chiming in: This happened to me today. Cast Alliance on Gregor during Stein of Moggok quest. Resist, instant death.

Hoping quest can be completed with default faction, or I'm going to cry [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

EDIT: PSA - Stein of Moggok quest can be completed by an agnostic dark elf enchanter (using human illusion in Freeport) without using Alliance. I was amiable to Gregor in FP, indifferent to Clurg in Oggok. Updated the wiki to reflect the bug and this result.

There hasn't been a patch since this was set up in the patch queue. You'll still get a resist.
