I have scoured EQ live guild's archives from April 2000(Kunark) to December 2001(Luclin) and have yet to find any instances of No-CSR allowing the occurrence of player griefing/trains with-in these zones.

If anyone has any evidence to the contrary then please post the information with links here.

I was a senior guide during the petition era. All this meant was that guides were not allowed to zone in to assist with corpse recovery and bugs, and that all such petitions were escalated to I believe the res color for the server GM. However, GMs certainly were able to intervene in such zones and did.
100% agree; allowing trains in VP is dumb.

How many times do I have to tell you that our No CSR policy is NOT related to live? Is there some sort of brain block going on here?

He has said other things as well. Such as that could be reevaluated. This thread hopefully can start that reevaluation process. Let's get a truly classic ruleset that doesn't allow for griefing or disrupting people and guilds. Who really wants to stand in the way of that ? You ?

I don't care one way or the other, but it's pretty clear if it's going to be reevaluated it needs to be based on something other than the classic rules. He is aware of the classic rules, and apparently doesn't care.

IMO training should only be allowed on blue. It's great that Lite is trying to disrupt some Nihilum raids, but if one side is allowed to do it then so are the other bad guys. If anyone else ever tried to raid VP it would be practically impossible with a few Nihilum on to train.

Legitimate pvp is enough; training should only be a blue server thing.

You seem to think that our "No CSR" rule is related to SOE's "No Guide" Rule (Maybe also called "No CSR"). The live version was a list of zones that guides could not enter due to the possibility that they may unintentionally interfere with the players.

This is not the same. Our "No CSR" Rule was not put in place to mimick live's, it is a separate rule in place for separate reasons. Therefor, your comparison to any relative eqlive policy is invalid.

Disclaimer: This post was made to correct the misconception that the rule was based on an eqlive policy, which is not. I am not posting to say that we would or wouldn't consider removing our "No CSR" policy, which may or may not be up for reconsideration.

Sirken, what were the reasons for the devs making VP a non-CSR training zone? They could maybe have more meaningful discussion if it was spelled out in plain English.
