I did 35 to 51 quad kiting lol. I've leveled more than one Druid though. I remember doing spectres in Oasis a lot and later Spirocs. I missed not doing snow cougars in iceclad this time around.

if necessary you can run a little farther, sit and med a tick, then cast your AoE. this helps with making sure you dont run oom.

It takes a BIG mana pool to Quad Kite. So you may have to adjust your gear to do it well. They don't die in like 30 seconds trust me. And it helps if they are all sort of the same level mobs.

Good place to practice at 39, and the mobs will give a little exp is FV pirates on the far cliffs. By 39/40 you can also do the growlers and snarlers in that area.

For some reason, circling backwards gathers them faster.
The distance between you and the snared mobs determines how quickly they cluster together. If you can take the pounding, simply standing still until all are on you, then backing up a short distance and repeating will give you a very tight cluster, very quickly. Unless you're quadding relatively weak mobs, and are very well-geared, this can be quite risky. Getting stunned can really mess you up.

My usual tactic was to position so that the mobs appear to be spaced as widely apart as possible. Allow them to get nearby, but still far enough back that they can't hit you. Move away at the same speed as they approach. Backing up with SoW works, as does strafing or walking away with camera angled to show the relative range. The mobs are trying to converge on you. The closer they are, the faster they converge.

I would recommend not letting them get close enough to hit you. I played a wiz on live and play one here, they are more fragile than druids, but in either case most mobs that are worth the xp to quad will tear you up.

I would recommend you make a slow circle around the mobs. The longer you are in a spot that is perpendicular to the line that is the space between two mobs the smaller that space becomes.

I may ehad to FV as suggested and give it a whirl. Hopefully I won't get wasted. I just got 39 though and I feel like I can slay stuff in DL pretty quick while only losing about 40% of my mana with my new 282 dmg DD, so I can always revert to that and keep making good exp [You must be logged in to view images. Yeah, one stun and you're likely dead. It's a dance; you'll get the hang of it... or die. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
