Eq is about pixels it takes so many fucking hours to lvl up people get invested. They do not wanna keep walking around in rags after investing that much time, so they seek a guild for pixels. Teams will have everyone on one side getting pixels 99% of the population while the other side is crying on the forums. I guess Takes 25 motivated people to obtain any of the kunark gear but people rather cry then go kill something. Teams is not the answer.

never said i thought teams server was a good idea
best thing for red99 is to permaban a select few people that ruin box integrity, make a more coherent list of rules/expectations, stick to it, and then wipe the box and try ffa over again

Teams is not a ruleset I like at all, but from having read the forums there's tons of bluebies who love teams as a ruleset, and it takes bluebies to make guilds that work that can ultimately compete and create a thriving environment. Despite what elderan says, the issue isn't that nihilum gets most of the mobs which is classic. It's that nihilum gets 99.9% of them which demoralizes everyone else. On blue, TMO gets most but you still know you have a shot in the other guilds + a vibrant economy. If it was even 80/20 here or 90/10, I think you would see a far higher pop and healthier server. Teams will likely provide such an environment.

The newbies who aren't in nihilum yet suck at pve, the pvp leaders not in nihilum suck at dealing with those noobs, and or arent that good at pve themselves and are too much prima donnas to listen to someone bad at pvp, who can lead the pve shit.

sirken can't hide on ledges, and i am only getting better at VP training. no loot inc for faggots seeking easy road. You will be griefed so fucking hard. I will be surprised if we ever have to train you again with the anti pull team that is almost done being keyed right now. You thought stasis was bad?

I'm pretty sure no one will ever contest the content Nihilum goes after. Nihilum shows impressive and sickening dedication to dominating the server and I don't see the force in this community to overcome it. If dragons are contested their first reaction isn't how do we beat the opposition head on next time, its how do we eliminate the threat. I don't really know what you can do to a team that is willing to push spawn times to off peak hours.
The server needs a couple great leaders in PvE, with high play times, diplomacy and patience, to lead a new fun guild. This leader needs to understand they won't accomplish as much by leading this guild as they would if they joined Nihilum as far as pixels go. It is hard to find someone that dedicated, qualified and selfless. They would literally be holding themselves back for the good of the guild and server. If you get a strong core of players they can create a fun guild with a large number of casuals. Eventually there is no reason a guild with this atmosphere couldn't compete against Nihilum during peak hours. The second tier guild on this server needs to have the mind set that they are going to get what they can and slowly progress through content. Nihilum should be an after thought for a very long time. There is much to enjoy besides the raiding Nihilum does.
