yeah that's actually what ended up droping it the krup guards.

just finished it, but then i ran into FV with a troll illusion on so if a cleric happens to be hanging out in FV and would like to res me i would love to donate some plat.

This is correct. I got my totem by massacring the entire place a few times and this is where a krup popped. Krupps also drop the totem for some reason.

Didn't realize it was a static spawn. I always thought he spawned in one place considering where I found him appeared to be prestigious (middle position of a 3-spawn room).

I was able to competently do the quest at 29. Need help if you want to so earlier.
