When I PL I do a few things.

A. I try to only PL in a few zones. Kedge, Unrest (basement/top floors), Befallen (bottom floor). Unrest is generally the only one camped. Occasionally I will show up in another zone or two to get a friend a quick level or two though.
B. When I am in Unrest I *ALWAYS* do a CC to check if those floors are camped. Generally the MR/Yard are camped. If both the higher level camps (top floors/basement) are camped I will just PL another time. If one is camped I will generally move to the other and ask the person/group camping one area if they are avoiding any rooms (IE Fireplace will often avoid hand room or bar room or knight room cause of pulling issues), in which case I will ask if I can have those mobs and to let me know if their group is feeling more bold and wants them back again.
C. I ALWAYS pull with snare. This way it is almost impossible to pull aggro off my mobs.

But mostly if the camps I like are taken I just won't PL until they are open. Other places just aren't worth my time or headache to PL in.
I don't have a great amount of experience PLing but I did PL someone in upper guk instead of unrest (since unrest is more popular) and it went pretty smoothly. Sure, you have to deal with mobs fleeing, but you're a druid and you have snare.

Default Guide name?

I listed names of the players, and have no problem naming the guide either... It was Eunomia who supported the PLing of Abard and Duckwalk.

Mobs which are vastly lower than my druid, run at healths above 20%, meaning those don't completely stop.

Which can be annoying (and can train a group if I am not catching them with a root)

Also rooting mobs means that previously when I required the PLee to do just 1 point of damage each, he now needs to do 11 points of damage each (to beat my 10DMG root). Not a big deal for melee, but sometimes casters that can take awhile. Especially since I will PL off red-cons most of the time, so spells are resisted 100% of the time for those casters.

A lot of people don't grasp root 'aggro' mechanics either. The rooted mob will attack the closest in proximity player, regardless of aggro. Which can often get the PLee whacked unnecessarily, making we waste unnecessary mana healing or regenning them (WRU Velious Regen BPs). I will always run and sit underneath the mobs face so I am closest but I swear every single time I root a mob right after I finish casting it always hits the PLee the first round.

Just becomes another hazard that I don't want to deal with. Does it work, sure! Do I want to have to watch the PLee and add up 11DMG per mob and then root each mob (since again at high levels a train of 10 mobs, all 10 will flee instead of 9 staying and dying until there is a lone survivor who would then run).

I power level all the time, but I never ever go to Unrest anymore. Powerleveling in Unrest is guaranteed to get you reported. Just go to Upper Guk, its wayyyy less crowded and the experience modifier in the zone is huge.

All too often I have seen and experienced GM's\guides making poor decisions regarding catering to PL'rs and griefers and KS'rs... makes me a sad panda.

Sorry to knock the GM/guide staff in any way cause they are awesome most of the time, but it is what it is.

For guides and GM's, plvling is always touchy it seems. If PL'ers aren't taking your specific camp or peeling off of your pulls, there isn't much to be done. Honestly guides/GM's shouldn't have to intervene though. If people can't have enough respect for other people in the zone, then they deserve to be blacklisted and called out. On the same token though, players shouldn't just jump to conclusions about a pl'er in their zone. I have zoned into unrest on my 60 bard just to see if its open to do some plvling and people immediately jumped the gun and said not to steal their camps, not to train, etc... For the people who aren't d-bags and jump the gun, I will normally pull the zone and just stand at fountains and shout "Free XP" then go find somewhere else to plvl. I would say most people who plvl have respect for other players from what I have seen. Obviously you're going to have the few people who don't care at all, but if that's the case simply declare your camp and if they pull from it, /petition. GM's/Guides can do something about camp stealing from my experience in seeing/doing plvls. If you just petition them for pulling basement in unrest when its uncamped and your at the fireplace pulling, don't bother. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it has happened a couple times to myself and people i know in various zones. People see pl'ers and immediately think their up to no good. Declare your camp, if crap goes south and your mobs start disappearing, get some higher power intervention.

EDIT: I rarely go to unrest to plvl, but I have experienced these types of situations in other zones along with my rare visit to unrest.

PLing in popular low end group zones should warrant immediate char deletion + permaban + neutering just imo.
