We don't care if you root someone fighting a mob, that rule is there for trains or people who repeatedly cause experience loss through other means in PvP.

im still waiting to get unbanned. i made 1 mistake on christmas night being a drunk fool in /ooc about the new pnp rules and i got suspeneded and then sirken rebanned it.

every1 makes mistakes clearly, but it seems like only the population is suffering from the mistakes.

i think it would b more appealing to everyone if you addressed Why the new changes happened and why they're being changed again. and will they be changed in the future?

are you jus trying new things? is there a plan? ppl are talking of making a new server now. its getting dumb. plz dont let red99 fall for a stupid reason.

The wording is everything then, you should specify this under the rule.

Correct. And if you're in small-scale pvp and you choose to fight instead of LnSing, you can't call LnS later when you've decided you've had enough.

Edited causing experience loss:

Causing Experience Loss.

Intentionally causing experience-loss to other players in the PvP environment is illegal in all cases and may result in disciplinary action when witnessed by a P99CSR. This includes things such as intentionally training NPCs. We do understand that there are cases where the experience-loss is unintentional, and no disciplinary action will be taken in those cases.

Much like how the Kill Stealing rule applies to those on the blue servers, this rule is designed to discourage and make note of those who do it habitually, thus betraying the spirit of PvP. As a note, the P99CSR will not in any case provide a resurrection for someone who was caused experience loss in PvP, intentionally or otherwise. This is one of the dangers of playing on a PvP server.

I dont see the difference

"Intentionally causing experience loss to other players in the pvp environement is illegal in all cases"

Thats the definition of rooting and engaging someone who is on a mob. Would you let slip someone whos auto attacking as the player dies to a mob and ban someone you see letting the mob get the last hit?

Youre banning people over this, characters that people have put a long, long, time in. It cant be ambiguous.

shoot an arrow or start casting a spell right before the mob gets the last hit then interrupt it if you're worried about it. we're not going to punish anyone who roots a bard thats running a fat kite.

and nobody is gettin permabanned over any of this. you'll probably eat a suspension or get a warning on the first offense depending on the severity.
