if naggys engaged, he should banish anyone 53 and up that are in close proximity to him. close enough where people cant just nuke/heal, banish, and come back.

just to add, binding in sol b was removed from red. it should probably be removed from blue so the exploit isnt even easier (just gate back to raid after being banished)

The way the banishing mechanic functions, you must get on the hate-list to get banished. That is why when Naggy is engaged a 60+ could sit underneath him and not be banished until they made some action agressive or not, at which time the game would put him on hatelist, check level, then banish. So to change the mechanic would be both un-classic and require some recoding.

Binding in Sol B is classic. Sorry your server isn't very classic.

Sorry pal but fixing exploits is classic.

It is sad to see guilds knowingly exploit in the name of loot. EverQuest seems to bring out the worst in some, see RMT, hacking, scamming, and exploiting. I just dont understand why people trivialize content by purposely going around mechanics. I am guessing if there was a way to prevent raid mobs from attacking back, you'd do it too if it was classic?

Personally - I don't do anything listed in this thread. I have a sub-52 cleric I take to Naggy/Vox.

Binding in Sol B is not an exploit. And therefore shouldn't be fixed.

Healing a player while above banish level is classic and mentioned in a few of the guides on Nagafen from 2001ish I'm pretty sure.

Detrimental spells - to my knowledge - never stuck at all. They would just not count and you'd get banished immediately.

#1 thing I don't want to happen, is the same thing that happened to pet aggro or Ivandyr's Hoops. Because a guild or two exploited their nature, they were nerfed for everyone who used them for normal purposes.

(My input is both out of era and is melee not spell casting, so this input may be worthless to this discussion)

I used to run my rogue into Naggy and Vox with SoS on, which they can't see through. I could safely run circles around them and through their legs. As soon as I would attempt a backstab (or even a pick pocket), I would be banished, before it even landed. This was of course well out of era.

Naggy still not banishing. 57 monk took AE and didnt get banished. Bunch of Class C healers healing during naggy fight just fine aswell.
