1) Experience loss on death.
2) Experience can be regained through rezzes.
3) Return to bind point.
4) No items on return to bind. Items left on corpse.
5) Can de-level.
6) Can summon corpse with the help of a necromancer.

6. Resurrection allowed with exp loss regained, items stay with you so no need to get corpse

best compromise between current system and wow system and for people who've been playing this game for years... yaw, also the least mechanically dmging otehr than the fact that people could potentially bind rush dragons

but thats unlikely

No, it's about EQ (not P99), which is what the Off Topic forum is for.

Just a friendly discussion about what you as a veteran player of EQ would think would be a good way to handle character death. I think heavy penalties for character death bring a certain suspense and agony to battles that cannot be produced otherwise.

What if you didn't lose any exp, but all your loot got ganked by other players? You know, like exploded onto the ground like in Diablo causing a frenzy. Your 'friends' could help you at this point, but the loots are free to first to grab.
