I like first person for finding the hitbox on my rogue. The rest of the time 3rd person is the way to go.

I feel the exact opposite, the environment always gets in the way of my vision if I'm in any mode other than 1st, it's also nearly impossible to target anything (I hate toggling for targets). I can't think of anything other than disadvantages for playing in 3rd person with the single exception being the ability to look around corners which is an immersion killer so fuck that too.
