![]() Faction in Velious is important, but in Kunark it is too much of a time sink to worry about. You unknowingly kill a few wrong mobs, or heal someone killing a mob you are sort of screwed. I really think the original Devs made way too much of a deal about faction. Like who really would have time to do 400 quests, do 10 different trade skills, get a epic, get faction on and on.
They had to know that young teens would mostly be playing EQ. And you are talking dial up time in the beginning. Like your mom is not going to get pissed that you have the phone line tied up for 10 hours a day? Brad was smart as hell, but dumb as hell in some areas in this game. Not everyone was as over the top as him or had the time to play. | ||

![]() Yeah. For threatening-dubious it'll be a lot easier, but still be, eh, a couple hundred mobs. Like on my shadowknight I killed orcs in HPH to get from ready to attack to dubious so I could do the scalp quest; from ready to attack to threatening must have taken like 300, 400 mobs (I didn't count but I can estimate roughly) and from threatening to dubious was probably 150, 200.

![]() I turned in tons of damaged militia helms into the NFP paladin guild on my Iksar monk. Took forever but finally got dubious to Steel Warriors. No reason in particular, but was killing guards anyway and got some plat for each turn-in.
