Hunter, Rogue or Warrior in TBC is fun.

Everything else is not.

Might be playing Corecraft when it comes out. I have very little WoW experience. I played with some coworkers back in TBC but all I remember is getting really high and doing dumb shit on raids. Of course we were always successful because as long as you mashed the right buttons the boss would die regardless of your level of inebriation. Corecraft is apparently also TBC.

I tried playing a Vanilla WoW emu server a couple years ago. I chose Druid cause it looked fun. It wasn't fun.

I like EQ shamans, are WoW shamans any good?
I had an absolute blast playing a melee shaman in WoW with my buddy. I played a rogue originally. WoW sucked ass after TBC soooooooo yea this looks fun. I played on Emerald Dream (Feenix) for a while.

i would disagree that enh sham was ruined in tbc.. sure it was a bit lame for them to make paladin/sham available to both sides, but they really made some class changes to shaman which were pretty cool.

first i want to point out is the earthbind totem spec, which removes movement impairing effects. this was pivotal in pvp, as it created a "safe zone" where frost mages were basically rendered useless.

second thing i want to point out is the changes made to maelstrom weapon.. i never made it to 65 on my enh sham, but i played around in the 40s and 50s with a 2hand enh sham build.. basically focused on all haste talents to build up MW procs asap, with a bunch of stacked spell power items. could sometimes get a full MW from one swing, which i would use to spam chain lightning. it wasnt the most powerful build, but in team-fights this was super-effective combined with purge to burn down healers.

not to mention the ranged root from frost shock

True to whoever said it depends on the patch which class/spec for some instances. TBC season 2 arena was all about RMP (Rogue, Mage, Priest) for 3s and RM for 2s for me. I never played much 5vs. I also enjoyed playing my bros combat rogue back when maces were viable and you could stun the crap out of people for ages. Frost spec is viable mage spec all through the expansion as well. Plenty of utility with sheep, blink, spell steal which I would ruin warlocks with and you got the frost elemental which with shatter, frost nova , and icelance made you a burst god. Iceblock and coldsnap along with all of your shields made you practically invincible. Man I am starting to miss that game from that era haha. Another instance of a game thinking they have a lock on people and they can do no wrong while continuing to screw up more in each iteration.

Prot Warrior, Resto Shaman, Combat Rogue, and Fire Mage were my favorite classes and specs. I had a lot of fun with them back in the day. I still login once in a while, but I don't play for too long.

Yeah prot warrior is fun. Probably the only group oriented class/spec really. I made one towards the end of lich king and played him to 34ish and quit when cata came out. I played him because the game was getting too easy at that point and you could solo your way with no interactions with every other class to max level.

I played a prot warrior all through TBC. Loved it.
I even bought a FigurePrint of my warrior and have him standing next to a model of Illidan. He's been tanking Illidan on my shelf ever since TBC.
Undead warrior in Zul'Aman bone armor.
