Actually I still remember watching an interview with the original developers, where one of them stated that they explicitly decided to make EQ *not* pvp, just pve only, in its design. This is a great game, but the pvp is an abortion; WoW pvp is better, and you can't hit bottom worse, than to be outdone by a pile of crap like WoW.

well they did a terrible job because eq is totally designed for pvp.

EQ pvp is terribad; but can be situationally fun.


What I've seen of Red99 though is not fun; aside from the mechanics of EQ pvp being flawed there are some major WoW-kid type players/trolls on red. They ruin that server and are essentially the reason why red99 is dead/dying and will never have a viable population.
