Better to keep it true to classic as possible, and remove item linking, regardless of making people happy, or do we keep it due to its effectiveness, though not classic. And if we keep it, because it functions well within the game society and economics and efficiency, why not just remove hybrid experience penalties ASAP (before Velious) as well, since that also ruins group social dynamics as well as experience efficiency (for the most part - min-max munchkins).
