it's about having neutral and unbiased content as much as possible. neither side in gamergate is going to be cited as a scholar on the topic. i sincerely doubt wikipedia has any desire to host a description of that "event" at all.
again, this is how wikipedia has operated for years. they've removed postings both negative and positive related to all sorts of criminal events, including pedophiles. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you on gamergate because I don't care, I'm trying to tell you that wikipedia is not interested in taking a side. At all. | ||

That video is actually kind of insightful about the whole 'infiltrating groups thing'. It's happening right now with the NFL.
None of these people gave a shit about the NFL until they had something to cry about. And the hypocrisy is thick. It really does take nerve to harp on the NFL for not being harsher with Ray Rice until they saw the video, while simultaneously having never said a word about the incident yourself until YOU saw the video. Anyway, the problem isn't the NFL. The NFL should hardly be probing into peoples' lives like it does. If there IS a problem it's with the justice system in that case. But why look for the real root cause? Why not just pick another group to grab control of? I guess what I'm really getting at is if you're on Tumblr for more than 15 minutes a day, you should literally be muted from the fucking internet. | ||
