It's actually the carrion spiders (the brown ones) that drop the parts. The black crag spiders only seem to have the silks... unless they BOTH are proven to drop the parts?

Oh yeah, duh, they're both in the same area so I mixed them up. I've corrected the entry in the hunting guide.

I'd imagine so but I'd ask GreenGrocer either via PM or in-game.
If he has decided to end this quest let me know and I'll buy any remaining parts at the same price (think of it as payment for letting me know I need to take the quest off the guide).

This quest is very much still alive and kicking, but I haven't been as active as I was during the winter.
