Why are you starting this again? Let's say I make a "guild naming policy" that says, "guilds cannot be named Alawen". Would your name have to be changed? Are you a guild?
Part of my sense of humor is in repetition. I still think "and you love it!!!" is absolutely hilarious. In fact, it gets a little bit funnier every time.

As a matter of fact, I'm not in a guild. If I have my cleric's name changed to Fallen Cantgetup, can I join your guild?

The implied meaning was at odds with the literal meaning, Alawen.

LifeAlert has a strict "no Alawens allowed" policy.

Perhaps you'd like to do a bit deeper research than OED.

It's not a basic word, it's a very complex word. Besides verbal irony, which you were attempting and wound up with arguably ironic sarcasm, irony takes many forms. My favorites are situational and cosmic irony.

There are even semi-adopted conventions for punctuating irony and sarcasm because of their difficulty in literary usage.

But feel free to celebrate your ignorance with more sarcasm.
