On a similar note, did mobs that shot arrows have an infinite supply? I just thought they fired the one they had and then melee'd (atleast that's how I remember the gnoll on the BB bridge). Was that not true?
ISTR the goblins in DC shooting repeatedly, but only dropping one arrow (or none). What I can't recall is whether they ran out of ammo at some point or just kept shooting indefinitely.

The halfling guards at the end of Alice in Wonderland in Plane of Mischief might be a good test case.

NPCs never run out of food or drink, either. As far as I recall, all NPCs had unlimited ammo always. As Ele mentioned, PoM mobs definitely had infinite arrows. Just look up the exploit/feature of lining up the puppets such that they'd hit other NPCs when firing at you. A cursory search yielded nothing but I'm sure somebody can produce a link.

The centaur mobs in SK also shoot arrows indefinitely, if it matters.
