While I would agree with this (strictly out of preference), quading isn't until 34+ as a druid. I mean, if you're feeling reallllly saucy you can try it with the lvl5 aoe nuke but until 34, pretty fruitless.

For me I did 17-25ish between East Karana and South Karana (usually with charming in some format) and then I stayed in Everfrost at Mammoths exclusively until they greened out (which I can't remember the exact level, this was back before they removed the light blue con).

I would recommend mammies over this just because there's some damn decent money to be made, but hey - that's the beauty of everquest. Can level however you want.

Though I could see this probably be an option to "tack on" a bit of xp at the end of a grind. Like say, after leveling for a bit in EK/SK, run over, loot a few, then gate back to Qeynos/Surefall, whatever.

But like mentioned Splitpaw Gnolls are also an option at 34 still (I think). Honestly, at 34 I went to Misty Thicket and just quaded guards (screws your epic faction though - repairable).

Default End Game

Please believe me when I tell you I love Project 1999 and everything it represents. In 2000 I was forced to quit playing Everquest for personal reasons. And yes, they did involve finances and yes, they did involve an unexpected baby at a very young age. Call me a supergeek or whatever. But I remember seeing level 60 players with epic gear and dreaming of one day being like those players. I remember one time a 60 warrior asked me for a sow as a level 15 druid, so I filled him with the spirit of the wolf. I remember he was a barbarian in Greater Fay standing at the orc lift, that was the first time a high level player had ever asked me for anything and it felt good. Anyway, the guy tipped me 50 plat! It was a fortune. I revered that warrior. So maybe I'm living out an early part of my teenage years, you know, before my life got crazy and out of control. Or maybe I'm showing signs of an early mid life crisis. But I know I love this game and I hope I get to experience everything I missed back at the turn of the century, before the rest of you move on.

This probably sums up 70% of the active server population.

OPs quest is the best method for mid level range. I thought it was 30-40 and not 20-30, but I forget.

OPs quest gives like 40% per gate btw.
I concur, i only animal charm when im grouped and in An offensive role

But there is a reason why crushbone belts, lego pads, orc scalps, ect., ect. have a valued place in our server economy. With all due respect I think I will stick to the quest spamming whenever possible. But for those whom it is well suited, enjoy the grind.
Yeah but few people just let them rot in there. So in essence you are killing mobs, ergo grinding, and looting the belts, scalps. So you are getting double XP in a sense. Different than looting in SK. They almost always Rot.

But I am not saying anyone should do this or that. Everyone plays this game different, and even changing up the way you normally play at times keeps boredom from creeping in. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
