fuck deck building from large pools. its all about drafting and sealed deck (rip)
nothing to discuss about limited, as it is also part of PT fate reforged, well drafting is anyway. Just posted this to see what pals on the box thought of the change to the banned list, seeing as it comes at a very critical time, just weeks before the pro tour and forcing most, if not all players, to reconstruct what some of us plan on sleeving up for next weekend.

Played from Tempest to Mercadian Masques. The game went downhill shortly after IMO. Exponentially.

Commander still is good. When you have a hundred card deck with only one copy of any card it basically eliminates 95% of the bullshit that's in regular Magic. Of course, the whole commander thing adds its own unique level of bullshit, but that's part of the fun of the format [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Fuck that commander firegiant shit. Yeah ok 100 card one of every card decks are so much more accessible than a classic 60 card deck.

Fuck outta here with that bullshit

Hearthstone all the way brews. The neckbeard fun minus the smell

*shrug* If you're like me and you buy packs you'll often have just one or two copies of lots of rares. In standard Magic that's not enough because you want four of everything, but in commander you just need one, so in that sense it is more accessible.

But that's not the great thing about the format: the great thing is the lack of predictability. In standard Magic you can have four of a card in a sixty card deck, which makes it very likely that you'll draw that card. If you throw in two similar cards (with four of each) you are all but guaranteed to see one of them, which makes all sorts of broken combos easy to achieve.

In commander even if you find five different cards that do the same thing you still have only a five in a hundred chance of drawing even one of them in any given draw. It completely changes the environment and moves the focus from building decks with predictable combos to building decks with good synergy, but with a million different ways they can be played.

I have heard great things about Hearthstone though.
