![]() Rogues are not a bad class when it comes to finding groups willing to take you.
You're the (second) best group dps in the game behind a charming enchanter, and they cost the least EXP of any dpsy class, roughly tied with a warrior. Most importantly, dps stacks. Your typical group probably wants only 1 shaman, 1 enchanter, 1 cleric at most. Sometimes they don't even want a tank and go with a monk instead. But there are 3 or more spots for dps usually, and they want to fill those spots with rogues. But really more than anything, unless you're a ranger, it has more to do with your skill at finding groups, which involves knowing: 1. Where and when to look 2. How to talk to people and make connections 3. How to build your own groups

![]() I'd agree with most of the above. Rogue is a great char to stick with if you enjoy it. Although you may see a million rogue alts with epics in the mid levels, there are very few level 60 mains. You should always be needed in groups and raids. If your main concern is actually soloing though, definitely try and find something else that will suit your needs.
I never had trouble finding a group at all on my rogue (and I am in an Asian time zone, when there are like 400 people on the server).

![]() This question gets asked all the time, and it's always the same answer. If you're not getting groups it's because you're not forming groups. Really. There's always a decent amount LFG and plenty of unanonymous people to send tells to. Being a cleric also helps with this burden as you can get started earlier and they're really a group killer if you don't have one.
But seriously, there's always so many people sitting around with dicks in their hands unwilling to start anything. I guess if you don't know the zones it could be a bit burdensome but damn, we got maps on the wiki :P

![]() As a rogue, getting a group when there is one going doesn't take long. I have been in groups with three rogues before, we're just that desirable. If the tank is good and the rogue is evading aggro, we contribute nothing to the group's down-time. Wizards need to med, enchanters lose control of their pets, but rogues keep stabbing all day long in return for a little STR/haste buffing.
I do have days where there's just nobody in my level range or just nobody in the zone but a bard running in circles (they even try it in Unrest), but I've never seen any other class chosen over a rogue unless there was a specific call for a healer or tank to replace a departing character. The flip-side is that a rogue solos about as well as a druid tanks; it can be done, but you wouldn't want to make a habit of it...

![]() With Velious, there will never be enough clerics, warriors, rogues and wizards.
So yeah, go with your rogue, safe choice.

Rangers wru? Debatable! Necros? In the right hands a very capable class with tons of utility. But everyone who hates necros never played one to a decent level, and therefore "omg they suck"

![]() I think what you need to consider is that, at least while levelling, a group needs one cleric and one tank. Warrior and cleric might be 'god tier' in Susano's list and they are the essential components that a group is built around, but you rarely see two of them unless you are in a specific location; two clerics in a Befallen / Unrest / Mistmoore group is not uncommon for example, but mainly because of the undead.
Rogues 'stack' nicely. They never get in each other's way, they never compete for aggro and they never reduce each other's damage unless they do something incredibly stupid like hit the Instill Doubt skill by accident. Three rogues are three times as good as one rogue in most cases. Also, until you hit the raid scene, a Paladin or SK is just as welcome in most groups as a warrior. I say most groups; some people are still scared of the exp penalty for some reason. Yes, a warrior has a 10% bonus instead of a 40% penalty, but they also cannot LoH to keep themselves alive on a bad pull or FD to dump the mob onto the off-tank.
