Honestly, if you aren't a cleric or necromancer, and you are using a manastone in classic, you're an in-game comparison of the guy who spends $50,000 on a home theater set up to watch Will and Grace re-runs:

You aren't getting nearly the bang for the buck you should. Necros have the most practical use of a stone in classic (straight free dps from stoning to lifetap/leech/Dot), although you can easily make the argument that giving the class with hands-down the fastest mana regen rate is overkill and almost un-sporting. Bonus points for the stone making the best FD-twinking class.. even... better.

Clerics with mega +hp gear (Bladstoppers, Black Sapph jewelry, etc) obviously make the most use of a manastone. Just for an example of how wtf-retarded mana stone is on a cleric - First time Trans killed nagafen, me and Matahari's wife were the only two clerics in attendance, and with a couple 20-30ish level clerics and druids spam healing *us* while we chain stoned and CH'd Barthorn (who had to have probably purpled 4 times over the course of the long fight lol). This was pre-fear, pre-hate, pre-sol ro quests... $#!++y gear, barely any 50s. Trust me, This stone on a cleric is god's will in classic.

----------------

The stone loses most of its value post classic, unless you plan on taking a druid or cleric and making them some crazy old-world twink bot for your newly created iksar.

Most of it's value is gonna come from Druids porting to old world locations, stoning like mad, getting CH'd, and porting back quickly to keep on slaughtering.

Wizards with their rune clicky (if it's coded properly/possible to re-emulate on emu) can grind up mana off the rune over and over again and port back to quadding-heaven.

If the stone goes up in value, it's going to be reactionary : "Gee, druids and wizards have a lot of money, i might as well sit in EC for a month and see if I can get XXX amounts of plat for this cuz I have no soul and/or life."

But the classes it was actually game-imbalancing for (necros/clerics) are not going to benefit from it anymore, so these stones are *very* likely to change hands somehow.

On live I had wizzy epic and a mana robe. I can tell you that constantly spamming the robe plus the staff gave me zero to full mana about 25-30% quicker than medding. I then sold the robe because it was soooo much easier to sit for 7-8mins then to be constantly clicking over and over. Mana items seem to be in really high demand, but once you get them you realize how boring it is. I ended up buying some alt items and the necro amulet that turns you into a skele(so much more fun).

The Manarobe is 3 second casting time, Manastone is instant. Makes a immense difference.

That is a big improvement, but couldnt you only use it on the original worlds? Like it wouldnt work in the Planes, Kunark or Velious zones?
