people could stop fear or charm kiting during lag....but the voices tells us to carry on regardless!!

56k was perfectly fine for the game as well (as in, non-AOL 56k). EQ doesn't use anywhere near the typical throughput of 56k so you wouldn't see any lag due to it, and if your connection was good (again, not AOL) you would maybe see sub-100 ping.

Raided through PoP on 56k... only got crippling lag on two encounters: Lord Vyemm and Rallos Zek.
