Thanks, I just cannot remember what quests were "classic" and what ones were introduced post velious. If you have any quest suggestions I should look into, I definitely will, for the lower levels so I'm in better shape to get going. Like last night when I tried to play, I'm level 6 and in Gfaydark... so crowded, couldn't even find much to solo let alone get a group.

But I guess that's better than an empty zone [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

No quests can top finding a buyer for any Crushbone Belts or Shoulderpads you come across... sell those for plat and that will help you buy better things for your character later.

Or alternatively, hand them in for XP in Kaladim [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yes, I've been saving bat wings, bone chips, and belts as I get them. Are there any classic quests that are in project 1999 that I can use to get gear for low levels? Or am I stuck to hoping to afford / travel to EC tunnel? Would rather not, even on live EQ I avoided the Bazaar.

CB belt hand ins get you a piece of leather type armor (Kaladim)

That's the main one that springs to mind. If you sold 2 belts you could probably find the vendor everyone sells to in Kaladim (near Canloe Nusback) and buy a piece of each for the money, which I think is smarter [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Hunting wisps in North Karana is another great way to get started from about 10-16 (you could even stay longer, but it slows down a lot past 16). Each lightstone nets 1p & greater lightstones net 10p from a turn-in at the gypsy camp there, with a big exp bonus to boot! I level there on most of my characters and typically get a few hundred plat for spells/cheap gear and the levels go really fast. There's also a guard tower nearby if you get into trouble. Only challenge for a pet class is you'll want your pet to have magic weapons so it can damage the wisps. A kind mage can summon some for you, or you can probably get a couple of cheap/free gnoll hide lariats in EC.

You can always just charm a wisp to fight for you. It takes magic to hit them, so I assume that they hit with magic.

Also, if you charm a wisp, the mobs you are fighting needs to be able to hit a magical creature in order to damage it. So I think if you send it to fight one of the many animals in NK it will never take damage.

Just remember to break charm once the mob is low health so that you get full exp.
