Druid is the best by far pre 51 farming. People on the forums seem to highly underestimate porting yourself a lot more then the players in game do. Not sure why.

Being able to bind yourself under a cash spawn like AC while you port yourself everywhere else in invaluable. Not to mention quad kiting seafuries for 0 mana, charging ppl for the best 1-20 PL in the game or just porting ppl for cash to get on your feet. Oh and all this takes little to no gear.

with rangers, you actually lose plat over time. plus you start the game with a red -1000 plat in your bank.

I've sadly been finding this true. My ranger dinged 22 and 102 fletching today. Arrows are costing me a ton. No wonder that Tolan's Bracer is so expensive [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

How are you deciding which arrows to craft? You can go to EQ Traders and sort by the trivial column to help decide which ones to make. I normally narrow it down to the next crafting plateau (in your case, trivial 122) and then try to find the cheapest ones to make within that range that have the stats I'm looking for. For example, if I want 75 range for pulling, I'd use wooden shafts, field point arrow heads, wooden vanes, and small groove nocks.

I've been using the chart at the bottom of the Fletching wiki page for arrows to raise skill, mainly because I'm trying to skill up enough to make my trueshot bow. Once I get it, I'll probably switch to cheaper arrows.

Ceramic shafts are what I switched to at 102, but it looks like Wooden Vanes would give me a cheaper skillup option. Somehow I missed that part of the page

The route I took to farming plat was going Druid first. Ports are very valuable in this game. If you are in certain zones, folks will pay mad cash for you to get them out. After I got him to 50+, I rolled a necro (with jBoots from lvl 1) and found him to be very rewarding at cash camps like the Sisters in OOT or the Deputies in Rivervale. Its really a matter of preference of what you like to play the most...except Ranger. No one likes a ranger. :-P

Necro for solo money making without getting hassled. If you don't mind the zone hate, bard soloing can make fast cash and exp.
