I don't use any new models and i'm still having this issue. I've tried using the above poster's settings and still nothing seems to work. I've loaded the V37 files multiple times.

I am using WinEQ2 if that has any bearing on anything. I am also running it as an admin.

Used that file to replace my current GlobalLoad file. Still no dice.

Are there any specific files I should be looking for in my install that could cause this? It should be noted that I downloaded a pre-configured install from PirateBay. It's possible he has the altered luclin model files in there. I just don't know what they're called or where they'd be.

I'm going to try to re-install directly from a titanium ISO... and ONLY install the V37 files. We'll see what happens after that...

Ok...

I just re-installed Titanium from the CD and applied the V37 patch. I did no other alterations. At all.

Still getting the error.

The ONLY other explaination I can think of is that, for whatever reason, the IP I'm playing from cannot contact the Authentication server to verify the GlobalLoad.txt file.

Yea im having the same problem. I couldn't seem to figure it out either. Ive heard a couple times someone say they did it intentionally to force everyone to use classic models. Don't know if it's any truth to this or not. Hope not that's kind of a deal breaker for me. I started this game when I was 13, couple months after playing luclin dropped with new models. So the models are part of the nostalgia for me, kinda liked having the option to use them while not bothering anyone else. Just gonna lurk on forums I guess for awhile till more info comes out.

Well I got it to work... I copy/pasted the GlobalLoad.txt file in the main directory into the Resources directory and it loaded fine. I guess the patch files forgot to add that little tidbit..

But now I have no spelleffects dispite the partical effects being turned on and fully turned up.

correct, globalload.txt should be in resources subfolder, not the main eq folder.

as for no spell effects, try typing these commands:
/showspell on
/particle high

No dice.

All spell effects are turned on and fully turned up. Nothing.

This is after a fresh install.

All spell files are present.

Figured it out. Issue was related to Windows 10.

Apparently the way it transfered the patch files to the main directory messed itself up when it replaced the old files. It explains why the GlobalLoad file was in the wrong place despite me dragging and dropping. All is well now...
