Sure for the vendor purchased copies, if the GMs were willing to run a script to determine if the scroll originated from a mob drop or if it was purchased from the vendor, but I doubt they have the time or inclination (or even ability) at this point considering the other issues that need addressing.

For future reroll servers, this should definitely be fixed (and I think it already has been updated for future releases).

Interdasting. Thinking that was a patch change or just a discovery? That is 1 day after a big patch though (doesn't mention Druid or port spells however).

I'd be fine with removal for a month, I've looked at allakhazam but can't find anything definitive about date added.

Think it was an unannounced update, especially in light of the January 24, 2001 update specifically stating that the wiz spells were added to a vendor.


The Graffe commentary coincides with the January 17, 2001 patch (Root Snare Stacking!) and the January 18, 2001 EQdruids update.

Velious Portals for Sale?:
With the recent finding of a vendor in Wakening Lands that sells Velious portal spells for druids only, there seems to be a lot of upset wizards out there... myself included. I just want to say that before we start throwing rocks, we need to check every nook and cranny out there for a vendor that might do the same for wizard portals. If you want to read more about it, there is already a thread started in the General Forum here.

The Druid's Grove has thread titles saved @ Archive.org, unfortunately the individual thread links don't work, but we can glean enough info just from the titles to know that these portals were not previously available on vendors. Dates quoted are dates of last comment in the thread.

I've made a killing on red slanging wizard ports via halfling (sneak) druid. it's kinda sad they are not on blue yet because Karana following druids sure get shafted in Velious

I saw something pretty silly in EC this morning and that was someone selling all the new Velious port spells for 100pp each. I thought it was fairly simple to get these spells but it seems like there is some confusion on how/where to get them so I made a simple guide. Also note that this is for the Druid port spells only. I have no idea where to get the Wizard port spells but if someone would like to chime in, go ahead.

I also uploaded a video of how to pass through Kael Drakkel as it seems to be a hot zone at the moment. Be sure to consider every npc along the way and go through slowly. I go through a little fast because this was early in the morning and only 16 people were in the zone.

Also if you see me ingame (Treeitek) send me a tell and I will purchase all the Druid spells for you (at cost, 132pp). I am currently bound at the NPC that sells the spells, just meet me at the WC Rings or something.

If I have some time I will try and get around to making a guide for getting keyed for Cobalt Scar. It's fairly simple.
