I did try it, back when Derubael made his recruitment thread that had to be followed up with this gem due to people being shitheads.

So I log onto red, level some, and decide to try out Crushbone with a group of 3 others. Destroyed by twinks being healed by a much higher level druid.

Leveled up some more in a remote area, but was asked to group again for the exp bonus with the location being Unrest. Had fun for almost an hour until destroyed by twinks being healed by a much higher level druid.

I think I might have stuck it out for a bit more excepting the shit talking my group and I got for thinking we could use a dungeon zone to level in, and how terribad our PvP skills were in the face of out-of-range heal support.

Since the players back then didn't want new people to actually have fun and PLAY on the server, my time of considering red came to an end. Fucked up resist codes + no item loot so Fungi twinks are in no jeopardy of losing their shit = fuck that server.

I see your point, but give me a bone here. Do you think Red would be more entertaining and inspire more competition for lower level players to actually turn tables and seek out better geared targets and mug them for their loot? On Rallos Zek that was the order of the day, and I did play there. Granted, I only played to the 30's with some friends but it was a reality of the server and it was one of the reasons why we chose to roll there.

Take that away, and all you give is no risk and all reward for people griefing targets in popular zones, forcing players to enjoy that 'sweet group exp bonus' in remote locations. And that's cool too - IF it's an adjustment you're willing to accept.

Many of us are here on the server to play a game rich with nostalgia in zones we had fun in 15 years ago. If Blue is the place to do that without bullshit, then that's the solution we're left with.
