Even with it being open, I wouldn't fault them if Epic items were not fair game. But, I think AG is too classy for that and will make everything available to roll, even epic items.

ALL means ALL. So anything that drops will be rolled on by those that can use it. I am happy to lose the roll on an earth staff to a lvl 46 mage, regardless if its your 5th alt or your first character.

P99 isn't going anywhere and neither am I. It'll happen some day.

Very very nice, I'll so much be there and looking much forward to my first plane raid here on p99!! Bringing a sharp spear :-)

Lots of thumps up for hostings such events, from a player that came across this awesome server late.

I'd like to come with my 47 mage. He's my first mage, my main character, and I've never been to Hate or even on a real raid.

Aside from not running around aggroing things, listening to directions and generally not being a schmuck, what do I need to be prepared for, particularly as a mage? How much time do I need to plan for?

Thanks guys!

A normal hourly raid for us is usually 4 to 5 hours. The only thing you would need to prepare for is mentality. Make sure you come willing to listen and keep an eye out for raid orders in shout or say. Other than that it's gonna be a good time!

If your computer can't handle at least 20 people casting a spell in the same small area at the same time for an extended amount of time...turn spell particles off. If you have a lot of trouble in, say, EC tunnel when there are two hundred people in there, you may also want to try lowering your clip plane to reduce the load on your graphics card.

Two major rules for raiding anything that you've never raided before:

A. stay with the group. Do not leave the group for any reason other than gating out of the zone or camping out or dying. If you get lost, immediately freeze and die or camp out or hide and ask for help. The absolute worst thing you can ever do is move even an inch outside of camp without a purpose while the raid is not engaged. You will train the group and it will be a bad time.

B. Never ever attack anything at all thats not being engaged by the group, this includes AOE spells and procs.

Dont expect to contribute a lot of damage at 47. Just play your part and follow the two rules and everything will be classic as hell
