XCOM 2 comes out in a week, for a more short term candidate. Looks great based on the preview play sessions I've seen.

They really took a lot of ideas from the XCOM "long war" conversion mod and integrated them into the core of the gameplay.

IDK I was kind of sick of hearing about Star Citizen every single year with nothing going on.

Somebody did gods work and torpedoed it for us.
