Red is the cool place to hang out. You can find most of the cool people there. In Red you can just chill and do whatever and totally relax. "Take it easy" is the Red motto, for example, that's how laid back it is there. Show up if you want to have a good time. Another good reason to show up is if you want to hang out with friends.

Coming from Vallon Zek on Live, I think this post pushed me over the edge. I am going to try red but I have a few basic noob questions from my vallon Zek days and I got in around PoP times as well.
1.) Lootable nodrop items in effect here like it was on rallos zek or just plat on char's corpse? 2.) I assume its not like Team based PvP where its evil races vs good, so a Dark elf can PK another dark elf in the same level range? 3.) How does raiding with AOE work? Are players in the same guild non PK to their members? 4.) Does everyone anonymous up and get edgy when they who all every 10 seconds to se their competition? 5.) What's a good first toon red roll for a seasoned blue server guy?

1. Coin only on pvp death
2. FFA with level range. 3. Be careful with AOE's, can hit everyone (No Chardok AOE groups) 4. /who bound to direction key + sweaty palms when an unknown is in the zone. Most people that aren't in the hardcore PK guilds just run from each other. 5. I would recommend Enchanter. Easy to camp high end items you want (many are tough to find) and groups out the yin yang while leveling. Most common group members are Warrior, Rogue, Shaman, Druid, Wiz.
