do a forum search there has been at least 2 threads that I remember on the subject of putting together an almost all mage group.

A lot has been said already. I don't see the point in repeating and having nothing new added..

Search feature is your friend.

Is this thread really such an affront to your sensibilities? Not exactly the type of topic I would normally associate with requiring a search but I'll humor you. Doing a search on the forums for "all mage group" turns up only my thread as relevant so please do enlighten me where these other threads are that I was supposed to find via search?

Maybe there are some special keywords I need to use to find them or maybe you should have used the search feature first before suggesting I use the search feature? Hopefully, (if they exist) they offer more being said than posts suggesting to use the search feature.

I accidentally closed the tab and lost my entire post. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Warning: This spoiler is a rant about how I failed and closed my browser tab.

So if you want to call me out what ever. But I'm not re-writing everything I had. I wish there was a automatic draft save.
God damn this really pisses me off,. this post turned to instant shit because I closed the fucking tab.

fucking bull shit. WHY IS THERE NO AUTO SAVE DRAFT FEATURE.
I really did have a legit response post.

The worst part is no one will believe me and all because I accidentally closed the god damn fucking tab and there is no auto draft save feature.

One thing I do remember from my post before I accidently closed the tab is why should I have to search for you just because you don't want to take the time to learn how to use a search engine. But I'll humor you.

None the less. here are some of the links...

Is there any point to water pet pre 50?

While on the surface these threads aren't exactly what you make this thread about there are posts contained inside them that do certainly address the topic. These posts are just the tip of the iceberg(2016) there are posts dating back to 2008 talking about your subject.

With that group, the Enchanter doesn't need to charm a pet even. He's just there for lull pulling, tash, clarity, slows and CC. With a Cleric buffing, with clarity and heals, the mages won't even need to summon many pets. Both classes can root so that mages can just roll nukes.

Feel free to replace Enchanter with Bard, still mana regen, CC and pulling ability.

While there is some useful information in those threads...by your own assessment those threads are not exactly what my thread was about so I'm not sure how my searching for "all mage group viability" would have returned results including threads about leveling strats or water pets (maybe the first one had I thought to keep trying different key words/phrases).

It's nice that you had firsthand knowledge of these threads and could find them but I don't see how a "quick search" would have given me those results and I'm not sifting through all mage related topics. Could have just provided the links to begin with and would have been more helpful without the attitude but thanks nevertheless.

Do that all mage group. You don't really need any other class, maybe just avoid areas with strange pathing (sol a being mentioned already). I would love to join such a group but i only play at europe evening times.

5 mages, 1 druid best imo. Don't underestimate the utility of being able to port around to find a spot, and to port out of dungeons instead having to fight back to the zone.

Add root CC, snare, regen, heals, buffs, harmony pulls outside and even bear pet at some point!

Yeah, I can see the great value of a druid in a group like this. I think the plan is to start all mage and when we get to around 20 I have a 19 druid that I will likely switch to so we can be a bit more well rounded with utility. I would like to keep leveling the mage beyond 20 but I also want to get my druid up to group porting levels so that's fine as well.
