I never made it to max level or raided in WoW, but I always thought that combat was more stressful than in EQ. Everything goes so fast in WoW, I feel like I barely have time to think.

I quit about a month before Cata. I told myself that I didn't want to deal with the new expansion rush of crowded servers, crazy whack economy, and all that. Just wasn't what I wanted to do. Came back to P99 instead.

However, I never thought things were that difficult to figure out, but it's sad to see that Blizzard has to make a statement like that because so many players are just that bad. As already said though, they put themselves into this situation with WotLK being so stupidly easy. No skill at all was required.

I hate blizzard in so many ways and on so many levels that I cant even formulate the proper wording to express what a bane they have become to the Genre and the video game industry in general. Fuck you Blizzard.

A sample comment:

"I am saddened to see Blizzard bowing to the minority of Hardcore "gamers" out there and forgetting about the casual gamer. I hate to break all these hardcore bubbles but the majority of players are casual players. I for one am a good player but due to family and school i do not have the time to play WoW like the rest of these 'hardcore' players do. it would be nice to play WoW all day because we have no lives and responsibilities but we casual players unfortunatly do not have that option. I have seen time and again players booted from heroics because they meet the minimum requirements and the rest of the LFG group kicks them cause the casual gamer isn't doing the DPS the "hardcore" people expect. So LFG is useless to these players and they quit enjoying the game and leave. I call on every "casual player" to not renew your subscriptions and let Blizzard and these "hardcore" players see how valuable we are. When these so called "hardcore" players are waiting in a que for over an hour..wee will see their toon change. Hopefully this will send a message to Blizzard as well to make this game balanced for everyone! Not just for the minority of "hardcore" fanboys who have no life. If Blizzard doesn't change then we do have options. Rift releases march 1rst and Old Republic this spring. So lets get together all you casual members and make our voices heard by not renewing our subscriptions. We are basically buying stock in Blizzard and we need to flex our power."

lolololol Blizz make the heroic dungeons easy for casuals or I quit, not only that i will encourage other players to quit because we cant just stomp the keyboard and win anymore [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

i just really dont understand the conflict. the majority of wow caters to casuals. thats why its such a wild success. why are people griping because theyve put some stuff in for the ppl who play wild hours a week is beyond me. its probably a generation gap thing.

They've built their own bed, and are now dealing with it. I have great respect for the developers, after having met most of them at Blizzcon, however, your same rage towards them, I have towards their retarded player base.

It reminds me of bad drivers. I so wish, somehow, I was able to reach from my car to theirs, to explain how stupid they are being.

Alas, there isn't a way for that to happen.

But come on, the above quote from a comment. How can they be so stupid to believe that casual = skill? Because someone has to play all day, and have no life, in order to have any skill? So retarded.

I love how it's oppression against "casual" players whenever there's 5% of content unavailable to them because they don't want to put in the effort required to experience it.

Whereas removing any content that challenges "hardcore" players is the only equitable way to proceed.

Funny how it works heh? In the month preceding the Warhammer launch you had legions of players not content with having 95% of the servers where pvp was restricted to specific areas in a zone, they went on a crusade to try to stop the players who were trying to have one server where you can pvp everywhere. Oh the irony of these "carebears" trying to piss in other people's cheerios.

It was really something to see these people call people like me "griefers" when in actuality they were the ones trying to grief FFA players outside the game and actively trying to stop these players from getting their server, although they would never set foot themselves on that server.
