Plus those empty tiny homes made RP'ing a lot of fun with my friends. And the great taverns. I get hit with the nostalgia feels every time I enter Qeynos.

My own single favorite zone is, as with the original poster, Unrest. It's a great success of design, supporting multiple groups over a fair level range within an extremely compact space. That being said, there are lots of zones I like in this game (why else would I be here?) so I'll give honorable mentions to a couple more: Guk, for the complexity of design and interaction between the different froglok factions; City of Mist, for managing to create a popular leveling zone that nonetheless has out-of-the-way sections (the floating citadel) many players never see; and Velketor's, for putting slippery narrow ramps, invisible monsters, pit traps, dispell traps, and all sorts of general nastiness combined with confusing 3-D layout in what's essentially a generic leveling dungeon. The latter, in particular, just doesn't happen often in modern games. EDIT: Najena deserves some sort of mention as well. I don't particularly like it. However, EQ's bad graphic quality might be the only reason that dungeon didn't cause the game to get tagged with an "M" rating. The dungeon's full of bad-graphics mutilated victims....bleeding, dismembered, guts and entrails spilling out. It's quite gruesome, and as such perhaps the truest "dungeon" in the game. Danth | |||
