Shortly after they deleted my thread (with people agreeing with me the level of retardation it took by the GM to forget his GM tag...) I received a PM from the community manager.
(customer name) I've gone ahead and removed the topic, as discussing GM action never goes anywhere productive. If you'd like to discuss the actions the GM took or their professionalism, please do so with me directly. Thanks, -Piestro EverQuest Community Manager My response I appreciate your time and understanding of the matter, Piestro. Though I do understand the Naming Policy and agree that my name was inevitably to be changed, I feel that GM Onyxramus had failed at certain aspects of his job responsibilities. I am sure you can read over the petition that I have sent and also replied to after GM Onyxramus responded to my petition. Though I do not disagree with my name change, I do find it less than kosher with the way he handled the situation. 1. He did not clearly represent himself as a employee of SOE. His tag was not present, and when I told him that he did not reply in anyway to prove that he was NOT someone trying to pretend to be a GM. Now a days it is all too easy to scam people and steal accounts in such a way. 2. After I told him i was reporting him for impersonating a GM, he logged off. 10 minutes later i was disconnected without warning, mid-combat. I log in to see my name is changed and still within a dangerous area for my character. 3. As most people who work in the customer service industry, it is important to communicate with clients. Even if the customers are in the wrong, it is important to explain the situation and what the solutions are without losing the respect of the person you are handling. I believe, at best, he carried out the very MINIMUM of his job responsibilities. Even if a paying customer is in the wrong, it is important to help them understand why actions are being taken and how to prevent future incidents and to maintain a friendly environment within the gaming community. With all this being said, I would appreciate this incident to be made note that this is what I would call a performance issue with an employee of SOE, and would like to be respected of my complaint and have at least a supervisor look into the matter. And at the very least, a voluntary name change if possible. Buglahwutz, I believe, is an even WORSE name. =) Michael (end response) At the very least, I hope he gets his time wasted by his supervisor and instructed on how to NOT be an idiot at the easiest job profession known to man.

Shortly after the community manager PM'd me, I received this e-mail response to my petition.
Response (GM) 02/18/2011 08:24 AM Greetings Buglahwutz, Thanks for your continued concern. When I contacted you in-game you informed me that you were going to set my character to ignore. At that point, I would not have been able to do anything to circumvent that or continue my conversation with you. I understand that you're upset with the fact that you've had your name removed and i'm escalating your petition to our management team. Please allow some time for them to address your petition. Happy hunting! GM Onyxramus Sony Online Entertainment Customer 02/18/2011 08:06 AM Also, where is my sweet questionnaire for the level of service?

With all this being said. At least my trolling skills are put to good use and may or may not effect someone's life based on the fact that they can't use their automated scripts and common sense reliably.

I have a hard time believing you can IGNORE a GM.

The funniest part of this thread is how eloquently you argue your point on the issue over your name "Tugmuynutz."

But this guy is plain horrible. Shouldn't be employed with sony. They are having hard enough times trying to keep a population. Last thing they need is bad reps.

Besides, it's the principal of how their employee handled the manner. The name and the change itself is not the issue at hand. It's how the guy went about fucking sucking.
