It is hit or miss. There can be only a couple people or it can be a zoo. Either way, the exp at 40 is going to suck there. Plat drop is all up to RNG with HGs.

Thank you all for the replies!

So I ventured out to CC and got wrecked by the stalag terrors. It was either "I can manage this" or my B hole looked like the mask from scream.

I about gave up till I was exploring and wandered into the spider area. SOOOOO much better, they seem more fragile and way less variance in their levels.

Solo shammy: rathe is ok for exp and plat but its a zoo and not very fast. I would honestly tell ya to check out CC. There is a town near by with a bank and all, with root rotting should be pretty easy, and if you see me ill duo with ya.

On almost every character I make I do Yetis in Dreadlands (north or south cave) from 40-45ish, then hop to Bloodgills from 45-50.

Yes, you can solo here at 40, this area is pretty busy spot though, its not uncommon to show up, see 4-5 others around and zero giants because they are all being tagged and killed seconds after spawning.

You can make a LOT of money here though if you can get a spawn or two to yourself for a few hours, I often leave this area 500-1000pp richer each time I camp it (until I literally cannot carry anymore).

After 46 they will start to green out on you (still give exp though), should give exp until at least 48 I think.

I tried to level an alt in COM groups through the low 40's a few weeks ago. The xp at 41 felt as slow, if not slower, than level 59 for my main. It was easy to get a group but that was the only positive. It's mind blowing to me why it's so popular, I would do anything but that unless you really want to drag out your 40's.

Hang out at the Skyfire ramp in OT and get PL'd by Dial a Port.

Thanks DaP!

Do raster camp in Lguk. You can use the corner by the trap in the floor to split the camp. Very good exp and you will knock out a boring part of your epic. Once you get 48, move to the dead side.

Just wanted to point out that most if not all the places mentioned here, and many more, are included in the Per-Level Hunting Guide (link in my signature; really it's more of a collection of hunting spots and less of an actual guide).

It's more of a solo spot, but I did 39-44 killing frost giants and dire wolves in Iceclad.

Did this on my monk as well. Worked very well for me.
