Problems with spell file update - Page 2

forget doing stuff manually.. use the auto installer in my signature...

I'm getting a similar error message when I try this....it's saying 'This is not where EQ is installed' It's the folder with all my EQ files in it though

3 things:

1) Did you install Titanium Client?
2) Is it installed in Program Files? If so, move it to C:\
3) Go inside the folder and make sure zone files and eqgame.exe is in there.

you need to go into the eqemulauncher options and point it to the directory with the "EQgame.exe" in it, that is your EQ root directory ...

Yes it's installed under C:\...would it make a difference if the files are compressed into CAB files?

well if the files are compressed into a CAB file its not installed yet is it? ..

and if it is installed in the default path it should be C:\Program Files (X86)\Sony\Everquest\

you would point to this directory, since the eqgame.exe should be in there, if there is no eqgame.exe in there you can not start the game and all patching it moot [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
